The original 1987 Waterfront Revitalization Area (WRA) boundary followed the Town's entire Hudson River shoreline and portions of the Rondout Creek between Sleightsburgh Park and the Eddyville Bridge. The Hudson River waterside boundary extends 1,500 feet into the River. For the Rondout Creek, the boundary follows the municipal boundary between the City of Kingston and the Town of Esopus. The landward boundaries vary depending upon existing development patterns and resources.
The WRA will be expanded through this LWRP Update to include the remainder of the Rondout Creek along with portions of the Wallkill River within the Town.
Refer to the map below for the full WRA boundary being considered through this LWRP Update.
