I say, What is man, that thou art mindful of him, and he son of man, that thou visitest him? Psalm 8:3-4
Since 2012 the Evangelical Pentecostal Church mission is established, first in the city of Rochelle, starting in a small room that was adapted for services and then with the help of God was able to obtain a temple in the village Holcomb 11 miles away. Since those years, they began preaching the gospel in the open air, or in places frequented by Latinos, and even had a radio program. With the passing of the years, and as a result of the growing immigration, some adjustments have been made due to these problems. However, God has been with the church at all times. Those who started it are no longer with us, but the work continues. The church in Holcomb continues to pray for and welcome all the needy lamas who seek in God the rest they long for. No distinction is made as to race, color, gender, social or academic status, all have cost the same price, the blood of Jesus Christ. The history of the gospel in Holcomb is still being written and the called ones will be the next pages in those histories, if you who are reading these lines have been called to be a blessing, we wait for you in the love of Christ.
One of the most important problems of Christians of this time is the connection they have with God, and that translates into the lack of time to be in communion with Him. Therefore, the church has the purpose that its members maintain a close communion with God through the different services, reading and meditation of the word, besides being able to serve the community in terms of marriage counseling, youth, children, Spanish classes, math leveling classes, visits to senior centers, help to the sick, orphans and widows. The most important thing is that all members of the church can live in newness of life, being an example for their families and community, always seeking holiness and practicing sound doctrine, in close relationship to the ancient paths, paths that were traced by the prophets, apostles and Christ.
When the soul is at peace and the conscience is in correlation with the will of God, the church can focus on the administration of the faith among its members, whether they are children, youth or adults. So the fundamental task is to prepare people who can lead others to Christ through seminars, doctrinal meetings, Bible studies, theology classes and apologetics, creating in them a deep feeling for souls, which will translate into approved instruments for the work of God, influencing both their families, their peers, the church and the community.
