Doñana is a protected natural Spanish area. Its great extension of marshes welcomes during the winter many species of aquatic birds, that usually reach the year 200000 birds. Due to its privileged geographical situation in Doñana you can observe more than 300 different species of birds per year, both European and African. Is considered the largest ecological reserve in Europe. It was declared Patrimony of the Humanity by the Unesco in 1994.
