Once you sign up, you will be paired with one of our therapists. You will then have an initial consultation to discuss your relationship with your phone, how it affects your life, and which apps you personally feel are the most useful and least useful to you.
We will then transfer your phone into a dumbphone counterpart. To ensure privacy and security, you will be present for the whole process to determine what you are comfortable with. Read more about this process here.
Once you are given your dumbphone, you will meet weekly with your therapist and attend group sessions that inform you and other members of TouchGrass about the psychology behind phone addiction and teach systems to help support phone/life balance. We also offer group trips such as nature walks, hikes, and other expeditions at no extra cost, participation is optional.
Whenever you feel satisfied and want to end the program, just say the word to your therapist. You will be given the key to your phone and you will have a final meeting to transfer it back and return the dumbphone we provided.
