The first cleats I had to start my highschool career. The Puma Future 5.1 Netfit may be one of my all time favorite cleats. At first glance they seem a little strange. They feel like you're wearing a thicker type of sock. The break in process was super easy and they felt amazing to play in. They have a newage grip on the toe box area that's supposed to help you control the ball better. I never had an issue with durability either, I wore these forever until I ran out the insole out to the point where I was standing on the plastic bottom of the cleat. I was very close to switching and staying with Puma over Nike but the next cleats I'm reviewing goes more in depth about that. The one flaw about these cleats, if you consider it a flaw is the fact that they stay wet for a while without a shoe dryer. Playing in Michigan you never know what the weather is like but thankfully I know someone with a shoe dryer so it was never really an issue for me when wearing them besides when I initially found out. Overall, I enjoyed wearing them very much and writing this made me realize how much I miss these cleats.

I had high hopes for the Puma Ultra SL Glow when I purchased them for my senior season. I remember getting home from a soccer camp and seeing the package with my name on it and instantly ripping it open outside. A selling point for me was how light they were, only 95 grams. The fit and feel of these cleats were amazing, it literally felt like nothing. Touches on the ball felt great and the break in process wasn't needed due to the fact they were such a think material. When I say thin material I mean thin material, getting stepped on would probably hurt a lot but luckily I never experienced that while wearing these cleats. I really enjoyed these cleats and thought they were going to be amazing for the season, until I wore them to a camp. While at camp I wore these, it was my first time in an actual competitive setting and not practice. I found after the first day the front lip of the cleat kleft and they started to fall apart. Seeing that I was very upset so I ended up returning them and getting the Nike Mercurial 9's that I wear now. These cleats are made for professionals I believe and aren't meant to be worn for an entire season just a few games. Overall, I found these cleats to be very nice but I was disappointed at how fast they fell apart on me.
