Past TOSA Events

Crystal Owl, a former TOSA President at UA's very first IDP event. TOSA, the INDIGICAT Student Association, and the American Indian Studies Graduate Student Council led and organized The University of Arizona's First Indigenous Peoples' Day in 2016. This was truly a communal event led by, for, and with UA Native students.

TOSA burro sale in front of the Nugent Building (Fall 2017). To fundraise for TOSA's Native American Heritage Month Event TOSA will have breakfast burro sales. We purchase our cemit (tortillas) from an O'odham family in San Xavier who uses our purchases to pay for their daughters travel and royalty expenses.

TOSA hosts a showing of Ours is the Land on the UA campus (Fall 2015). We hosted a discussion with UA Native researchers and activists to discuss natural and cultural resources. A short documentary about... "The film is told entirely from the perspective of the Tohono Nation members themselves including Legislative Council members, and tribal elders who speak about the multi-generational connection between Ce:wi Duag and the Nation today."
