Thermo - Adaptive, the Chemical-Based Modern Blanket project aims to solve the problem of overheating or being too cold that people experience when using typical blankets on the market today. The blanket that is designed will have the intended use of keeping people comfortable in both dry outdoor and indoor environments. We understand that most of the time when using a blanket your feet are what cause the most discomfort due to heat. For this, we’re including a pocket for your feet so that your feet also get temperature regulation from the chemically based materials. In addition, throughout the entirety of the blanket, chemical-based thermo-regulating fabrics are used to regulate temperature and ensure a high level of comfort. However, many of the blankets provided to hospitals and shelters lack heat retention, fail to thermally regulate the body and environmental heat, and have a lack of comfort and relaxation that’s meant to be brought by a blanket. Thus, our newly developed modern blanket aims to combat the issues and hopes to provide for hospitals and nursing homes a stronger, and more developed blanket. We hope to provide to our community and ensure that everyone, in any living condition, has the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of living without the worry of the sustainability of common household items.
