History

Torrey Startup hopes to provide a path to business and entrepreneurship for those who take interest in this field and provide the necessary tools and connections to help build and grow the ideas of young thinkers. The team hopes to provide students with the opportunity to have their ideas built, developed, and produced while creating a brand for a company and having the opportunity to market their product and begin their entrepreneurial journey.

Torrey Startup plays an important role in advancing humanity in solving the right problems and developing modern products to aid humanity. On a day-to-day basis, the Startup team aims to resolve issues that have been identified in their lives or the lives of others and the community around them. We aim to produce and develop products and applications that help the world advance into the modern era.

Eric is a junior at Country Day and loves entrepreneurship and the development of turning ideas into real-life products. Eric loves to design think and program and hopes to continue to help build startups and young entrepreneurs.

Yasmina Torres

Class of 2022 Design & Innovation Department Award Winner

Yasmina is a current senior here at Country Day. She loves to program, develop applications, graphic design, and creating and thinking of new ideas and products that can help advance our world.

Jaxon Hamson

Senior Director of Production - Board of Directors

Jaxon is a part of Country Day's Class of 2023. He has attended CD for the past 2 years and has taken a deep interest in graphic design and entrepreneurship. He hopes to continue to develop and grow his ideas with Torrey Startup.

Gregory Kocharian

Senior Director of Operations - Board of Directors

Greg is a junior part of Country Day's Class of 2023. He recently moved from Georgia and has found a passion for design thinking to entrepreneurship and developing new and creative applications and products to advance humanity.

John Guckian

Senior Director of Management - Board of Directors

John has attended CD for 3 years now and has continued to develop his engineering skills, 3D printing, photography, laser cutting, among many others, and hopes to continue to pursue his path of entrepreneurship and hopefully some day develop and grow his own business.
