My career has taken me across Nigeria, Canada, and the United States, giving me the opportunity to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds while leading projects that improve organizations and communities.
Most recently, I served as a Program Manager at Meta, supporting large-scale global operational initiatives involving cross-functional teams across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Before that, I worked with the City of Edmonton, Canada, led municipal projects focused on procurement, stakeholder engagement, and community initiatives. Prior to that, I also worked in engineering, food service operations, and non-profit organizations.
These experiences strengthened my leadership, communication, project management, and systems-thinking skills, which now complement my growing work in nutrition.
Although my professional career has been centered on project management, my interest in nutrition began much earlier.
I earned my first degree in Food Science and Technology more than 20 years ago. Since then, I have continued learning through professional certifications in Nutrition Science (Stanford University) and Nutrition Coaching (Precision Nutrition), while applying those principles through wellness initiatives, health education, and community programs.
Returning to graduate school represents more than a career change—it is the fulfillment of a lifelong passion. My professional interests include community nutrition, chronic disease prevention and management, global health, health promotion, nutrition education, culturally responsive nutrition, digital health and technology, nutrition entrepreneurship, and health advocacy, with a focus on developing innovative, evidence-based solutions that improve health outcomes and expand access to quality nutrition care.

Service has always been an important part of who I am.
I founded Aspire Hub, a nonprofit organization that empowers K-12 students through STEM education, leadership development, mentorship, faith-based programming, mental health awareness, and life skills training.
I also co-founded Tiraka, an international social impact initiative focused on reducing hunger, food insecurity, poverty, and educational inequality across North America, Europe, and Africa.
Through these organizations, I have had the privilege of working alongside children, youth, women, families, and underserved communities to create opportunities for education, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and healthier futures
When I am not studying, working, or serving in my community, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, walking in nature, and finding quiet moments to slow down and appreciate life’s simple pleasures.
I feel incredibly blessed to be doing life with the kindest and most amazing man on earth. He has been my friend for more than two decades, and we have shared over 18 wonderful years of marriage. I could not have completed this master’s degree without his unwavering daily support through every challenge—from the day I obtained the application form and began completing prerequisites in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and other sciences, to the many late nights spent working on assignments. He also supported me through the weeks I spent away from home in different cities, completing hundreds of hours of supervised clinical, community, and food-service experiences.
I am also immensely grateful for our superstar children, who inspire me and teach me something new every day. Throughout this journey, they have been incredibly patient and understanding, learning to take care of themselves and support one another whenever I was away from home or tucked away in my office completing assignments. Their maturity, resilience, and encouragement have been a tremendous source of strength to me.
I also enjoy writing and sharing reflections through TEAwithTope—a platform where I explore topics related to health, leadership, personal growth, faith, resilience, and everyday life. What began as a collection of personal reflections has grown into a space for meaningful conversations that encourage others to learn, grow, and live with purpose. I am currently expanding TEAwithTope into a podcast where I will engage with inspiring guests and explore ideas that promote wellness, lifelong learning, faith, and positive community impact.
Whether I'm having a cup of tea with family and friends, or writing my next reflection, I value opportunities to connect with people, continue learning, and inspire others to live healthier, more purposeful lives.
As I continue my journey toward practicing as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, my practice combines evidence-based clinical nutrition, human-centered care, collaborative leadership, technology, and community engagement to improve health outcomes for individuals, organizations, and communities.
I believe that lasting change happens when people are empowered with knowledge, supported by their communities, and given equitable access to the resources they need to thrive.
