As a committed volunteer, I had the chance to create and teach interesting English and French lessons to children from poor neighborhoods in Phnom Penh and Kandal province on weekends. This role included a wide range of important duties, including:

• Developing and implementing meticulously planned lesson structures that precisely catered to the unique educational needs of the children.

• Using a variety of fun and engaging ways to teach, such as songs, games, and role-plays, made the process of learning both fun and useful.

• Encouraging the children to express their creativity through fun tasks like writing, drawing, and talking, which will improve their language skills and boost their self-confidence.

• Creating a safe and supportive environment for learning, where children's curiosity was sparked and they were strongly urged to take part.

• Collaborating with other volunteers and community leaders to identify areas for improvement and continuously enhance the quality of the learning experience.

• Helping kids grow not only academically but also as people by teaching them basic values like responsibility, empathy, and leadership.

In the end, my commitment as a volunteer went beyond teaching. It included creating an environment where learning was not just informative, but also empowering, encouraging, and nurturing for the children from these underserved areas.
