The Tomorrowland Hall of Honor is a bit of a who's who in Tomorrowland lore. Honoring many of the land’s “founders”, this brief walkthrough experience provides a small diversion during a visit to the land. Occupying what was formally Star Traders and one of the lands bathroom locations, the hall has a simple down and back path once guests enter from just across the Tomorrowland Speedway.
Inside, digital portraits and busts of various characters highlighting numerous dignitaries important to the land’s founding and history line the walls. Fan favorite references to characters such as Tom Morrow, X-S Tech and more, are also well represented. Plaques and video boards assist guests with details as they make their way around.
Many organizations tied into the backstories of the land’s existing or defunct attractions pop up as well including The League of Planets and the Metropolis Science Center. Eagle eyed guests will find their logos and signage mingled among the various bios. Closing out the experience, pieces from the first starship to land in Tomorrowland showcase a bit more history accompanied by a looping audio that gives a condensed history of the spaceport.
This Omnimover ride is Tomorrowland’s tunnel of love style attraction. In the queue, there are futuristic holographic Valentines and advertisements for school dances.
Guests board their up to 3-person cruisers. The female narrator states: “Love may make the world go round but in Tomorrowland…Love travels light years!”
In the first scene, a young woman is saying, “Mom, I met this really good guy from the Mars cluster. He is taking me on a date tonight.” Mom: “Please don’t go over 2 billion miles away. I would hate for him to rack up such a big fuel bill!”
In the next scene, the couple is doing a dimly-lit sail through the cosmos.
Next they arrive on the Moon (of the Earth) for a round of golf.
In the next scene, they are taking in a sunset on the planet Venus. The narrator explains that the scene is much different than on earth because of things like the atmosphere, length of days, and proximity to the sun.
There is now a peek into the Port of Tomorrow shop. The narrator explains, “Need to buy your loved one a special gift while you are out cruising the cosmos? Each planet has a good place for that!”
In the final scene, the Mom is asking her daughter, “So how did the date go?” The daughter replies, “I really like Greg, but he showed me some really cool things. I can’t wait to see where he takes me next!”
Tomorrowland’s growth into a tourist destination has drawn the attention of many prominent individuals throughout the galaxy, including Zonny Jargon, the slick and charming host of The Tomorrow Show! This talk show, which brings you tomorrow’s news, today, can now be found broadcast on many screens throughout the land, but in the south building, guests are invited to a live filming!
Entering the plush and well-themed midcentury lobby, guests can view posters for several futuristic sitcoms, including “Oops, I Married a Zorgon!” and “Family Values… in Space!”, as well as small tributes to past hosts of The Tomorrow Show. Framed pictures show Zonny with some of his more distinguished guests, including the mayor of Tomorrowland and many of the founders found in the nearby Hall, in a nice piece of world building.
The theater itself is dark, with the focus on a sitcom set. A mural of Tomorrowland’s skyline is framed by a desk, Space Mountain front and center, while a large applause sign can be found in the corner. Seated behind the desk is an impressive and constantly visible animatronic of Zonny Jargon itself. Constantly on stage, he adjusts his tie, sifts through notes, and nods in acknowledgment of guests entering the theater. The lights dim, and the show begins!
A jingle plays, and the applause sign flashes, as Jargon welcomes his audience. He tells them that they’re in for a great show! The routine begins with a monologue, as Jargon makes jokes about local Tomorrowland news. This is the first feature of the show’s greatest asset: randomization! As the news changes, the jokes will be different every show. Each corny joke is punctuated by a flash of the laughter sign. After this, there are two special guests. Holograms allow different combinations of these as well! Some possible guests include a robot bent on enslaving humanity, three tiny aliens in a trenchcoat, and a random human who was abducted by aliens, but no one believed him, so the next time they visited, he went with them. The applause and laughter signs add an element of interactive fun to all of this!
At the conclusion, Jargon thanks his guests for coming, and wishes them a great big beautiful tomorrow! Thanks to its humor and randomization, this show is sure to be a hit!
Most of the PeopleMover narration is retained from the present day. Most of the changes are narrational, added with our additions. As we travel down the side of the north building, the narrator points out the Starlight Bazaar below, declaring that there’s never a shortage of fun things to buy and see in the future! We look out at Cinderella Castle, then turn into the north building. The Progress City model remains, and our narrator briefly explains how it inspired the design of Tomorrowland Port. Our narrator tells us that we’re about to see something very special: a sunset on Venus! We peek down into the show-stopping scene in Cosmic Romance, then pass through a brief speed tunnel of the galaxy for our return to Earth. Wall-E makes a tiny cameo, for those with good eyesight!
We exit the building through the Port Authority shop, and continue on our journey towards Space Mountain. Later, returning from the Carousel of Progress, we zip into the lobby of The Tomorrow Show, as our narrator encourages guests to visit this out-of-this-world laughtacular! From there, we pass a brief dark section, followed by Fun Times of the Future. Back into the bazaar, and even over a walkway, as our narrator begins to wrap up our voyage. Finally, the PeopleMover, TTA Blue Line, returns to its station.
