This is the easy part!
Now that you have at least one MIDI and metadata file, Tomo Jam! makes it a breeze to import your song into the game! (Linux specifications soon)
Where should I put my files?
Your files can be stored anywhere! However, I recommend storing them in the Tomo Jam! folder for ease of access.
This can be done through Steam. Open Steam and find Tomo Jam! in your library. Right click the title, then select Manage > Browse local files. This will open your File Explorer.Â
Regardless of where you choose to store your files, the next steps will be the same!
Create a MIDIs folder (name of folder does not matter) and place all your MIDI and metadata files inside.
Navigate into your MIDIs folder and click on the top bar next to the folder address. Make sure the address is highlighted, then copy it either by using Ctrl+C or by right clicking the address and selecting Copy. Examples:
Time to open the game! From the title screen, press your Start button, then navigate to Options. Select Custom MIDI Folder, then use Ctrl+V to paste the folder location. Press the Scan button, and if the text in the bottom right says it found any more than 18 MIDI files, you know you did it right!
When you return to the Song Select screen, you will see your new custom songs in-game!
If you do not immediately see your custom songs, ensure the Show Custom option says ON underneath!
