Profressional Resume
This is my artifact showcasing my professional communicating with students' families during student teaching, My "Meet The Student Teacher" form was sent to all guardians of my students the first day of my placement, and was met with nothing but positivity, I had parents email me thanking me for communicating with them, and keeping them in the loop. This was continued during my student teaching placement as I continued to communicate with them when important events, such as test days, were approaching. Based on this response, I would change the form to include more details on how to contact me, and include a way to schedule a meeting with me, such as a QR code, to ensure that parents and guardians can schedule a time to discuss their student's progress outside of parent-teacher conferences.
This is a presentation created by one of the students in my class that shows the difference in the different biomes. This shows my competency in using educational technology as this assignment required educational technology to research the different biomes and their characteristics, as well as to create the presentation itself. This was a highlight of my student teaching as it was interesting to see how students utilized the technology that was required to do this assignment, it was als educational to me as a teacher candidate as well, as I learned from some of the students a more efficient way to utilize this technology which has also influenced how I created this portfolio. This was not the case with every student though, because my student teaching assignment was in a rural are where internet is essentially non-existent, a lot of the students were unfamiliar with the technology being used and therefore were not competent enought to complete the assignment which led to me having to give them a different project in the form of using construction paper and glue. The overall effect of this artifact was genuinely positive; however, because my placement was at a location that does not have very good technolological resources outside of the school I should have created a presentation myself, as well as created a brief tutorial that provided instructions to the students so they could create a presentation themselves.
