I'm Tom Douglas, Professor of Applied Philosophy and Director of Research at the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Oxford. My research lies in applied and normative ethics and currently focuses on the ethics of predicting and influencing behaviour. Since January 2020, I've been leading the project Protecting Minds: The Right to Mental Integrity and the Ethics of Arational Influence, funded by a Consolidator Award from the European Research Council. Other recent projects include Neurointerventions in Crime Prevention: An Ethical Analysis (funded by the Wellcome Trust) and the Oxford Martin Programme on Collective Responsibility for Infectious Disease
