I am a primary and secondary supervisor for the MScR Palaeontology and Geobiology at the University of Edinburgh School of Geosciences and currently supervise three students:
Struan Henderson - New Brains for Old Fish: Brain and Sensory Evolution in Porolepiformes and the Dipnomorpha.
Moji Ogunkanmi - Middle Jurassic fishes of the Isle of Skye.
Paige Depolo - Dinosaur trackways of the Isle of Skye.
Past students

Besides traditional learning media, I have developed and produced content for the online adaptive learning tool Cogbooks for pre-honours courses in geology and geophysics for the BSc(Hons) Geology degree program at the University of Edinburgh.
I am in a qualified position, unlike most academic staff, to train students in field work skills in having the government-recognised summer Mountain Leader Award in addition to years of experience in the hills and mountains around the world.
I have taught on field trips for Field Skills for Geologists in Assynt, Scotland (3rd year undergraduate Geology); Cyprus geological evolution and climate (4th year Geology); Palaeontology (3rd year Palaeontology and Sedimentology); Introduction to Field Skills (1st year Geology).
