Institute for Applied Microeconomics,

University of Bonn

I received my Ph.D. in economics from École Polytechnique - CREST in Paris and my B.A. from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH.

A postdoctoral scholar with Professor Thomas Dohmen at the University of Bonn, I spent a good part of 2019 and 2020 at the Center for the Economics of Human Development at the University of Chicago helping Professor James J. Heckman set up a long-term experimental collaboration with the Laboratory Schools aimed studying preferences and skills.

I am an applied microeconomist with interests in experimental economics, behavioral economics, labor economics, and empirical industrial organization. My current research focuses on improving the measurement of preferences and skills using structural econometric methods. The objective is to identify the number and nature of skills required to adequately characterize human potential. In ongoing work, I use a unique dataset covering smartphones sold on Amazon to determine the impact of consumer reviews on prices and quantities.

I am a member of the ECONtribute Cluster of Excellence, an IZA Research Affiliate, and a CREST Affiliate.

My work was recognized by the French Economic Association (Best PhD in economics defended in France in 2019), by the International Association for Applied Econometrics (Best paper presented by a PhD student), and by the Slovak Economic Association (Best paper authored by economist up to 35 years of age).
