This year, contributions are about more than fundraising. Tomahawk memories matter, too. Both pathways earn points toward student, class, and whole-school prizes.
Color Walk is a favorite Tomahawk tradition and our school’s biggest annual fundraiser. On event day, students walk laps with their classmates while showing school spirit in their grade-level color.
This year, we are also collecting Tomahawk memories so every family has a meaningful way to participate.
Tomahawk’s future remains uncertain until the Olathe School Board vote on October 1. We want every student to have a fair way to participate while also preserving the memories that make this community special.
Families may participate by making a financial contribution, sharing a Tomahawk memory or doing both. Donations and approved memory submissions earn points and raffle tickets toward student, class and whole-school prizes.
Every $1 donated in a student's name earns 1 point and 1 lunch-raffle ticket. Every original, approved memory submission earns 5 points and 5 lunch-raffle tickets. There is no limit on genuine memory submissions, but duplicate, incomplete, or inappropriate submissions will not earn points or be published.
Use the CheddarUp donation page by October 1 at 10:00 a.m. CT. Cash donations can be dropped off in the gym during morning arrival from September 28 through October 1.
Use the Tomahawk memory form. After manual review, approved memories will appear on the Tomahawk Memories wall. Children will be identified only by first name and last initial.
Every dollar raised will benefit Tomahawk students during this school year. Funds will support Color Walk rewards and celebrations, field trips, and other current-year student experiences. Remaining funds will support a possible end-of-year all-school celebration. No Color Walk funds are being raised for future school years.
Yes. All students take part in the Color Walk celebration regardless of whether their family donates or submits a memory. Memory submissions offer another way to earn points and raffle tickets without making a financial contribution.
Absolutely. Families are invited to cheer, high-five students as they walk laps, and watch the prize celebrations. The K–5 Color Walk begins at 2:00 p.m. on October 2 on the playground.
We need volunteers throughout Color Walk week to help cut raffle tickets, assist with lunchtime raffles, and make Color Walk day a success.
Volunteer Here
Tomahawk 4th and 5th grade students can sign up to help build excitement as members of the Color Walk Hype Squad! PTO is asking for 4th and 5th-grade volunteers to help promote our 13th Annual Color Walk. If your student would like to participate, please choose a date(s) and select a color they'd like to represent. Our goal is to have every grade level color represented each morning at drop-off. Have them wear as much of their color as possible- shirts, shorts, socks, hair accessories, and any other accessories. We will have some extra items available for them to borrow. Please have your student to Tomahawk by 8:25 am on your designated morning. Thank you, 4th and 5th grade families, for your support!
