*Scholarships for Doctoral Programs at Tokyo Tech

This project is designed in collaboration with Tokyo Tech Academy TAC-MI, SSS, ISE and ToTAL which provide career development and training content. Registered students from these educational institutions are also encouraged to apply. However, please check with the administrative staff of each educational institute for the specific financial support system, as it differs from institute to institute.

Applicants who are scheduled to receive the Tokyo Tech Tsubame Scholarship for Doctoral Students or LST Research Fellow Program or IIR Research Fellow Program can also apply. However, if you are selected for this project, that scholarship will be terminated. You cannot receive both.

Those who plan to apply for Tokyo Tech Advanced Human Resource Development Fellowship may also apply for this project. However, it is not possible to receive benefits from both.

You can apply only once, when you enter the doctoral program. If you are not selected for this application, you will not be able to apply again. Please note that there will be no re-solicitation of applications in the event that a candidate withdraws after the adoption is confirmed.

(*1) will be applied only to students who are not able to come to Japan due to the measures against COVID-19 and do not meet the eligibility requirements 4.

(*1) Only those students who have not been able to come to Japan due to the measures against COVID-19 and do not meet the eligibility requirements 4 will be allowed to apply for the fall recruitment for 2022. Even in this case, the support will end by March 31, 2025. (At the time of application, students may be asked to submit a document to prove that their arrival in Japan has been delayed due to the measures against COVID-19)

(*2) If the leave of absence is for reasons such as childbirth, childcare, or injury or illness, and the committee approves, the adoption of the project student may not be cancelled. In this case, the payment of the research incentives and research funds will be temporarily suspended during the period of the leave of absence, and will be resumed when the student returns to school. If you are planning to apply for this project, please consult with us in advance using the Inquiry Form on our website.
