The summer section of Tokugawa Village is covered with dark purple ceiling with fiber optic stars on top and hanging lanterns throughout. This section represents Azabujuban Noryo Matsuri, which roughly translates to summer nights or escape the heat and find coolness. This festival is more trendy than traditional, but a great way to cool down and have fun.

Activities

Fun Fair: Azabujuban Noryo Matsuri typically features many fun games to enjoy. The summer section of Tokugawa Village is offering visitors to play a few of these games year round! These games include wanage (ring tossing), super ball scooping (scooping balls in a pond to win prizes), and Shateki (shooting at targets).

Dance Arena: One of the main features of Azabujuban Noryo Matsuri is dancing, this is why the summer section has a large arena just for dancing! This dance arena has special walls around it that amplify the music inside the arena, but allow the music to not be heard outside of it. Guests can enjoy dancing to famous songs of past and present in this grand dance arena all day long!

Summer Treats

This shack features many traditional summer festival foods, such as kakigori (shaved ice covered in syrup), Yakitori (various kinds of grilled chicken on a stick), Watame (cotton candy), and Yakishoba (buckwheet noodles).

Benihana

Benihana is a popular high scale restaurant where the meal is prepared in front of you. The one at the summer section is no different, but it has a feature that sets it apart: beautiful firework effects illuminating on the ceiling.

Stores

The Disney Store

The Disney Store in the summer section is themed to everyone’s favorite alien Stitch. Guests walking in can find his crashed ship filled with toys. There are palm trees all around and tropical music playing. In the middle of the store is a statue of Stitch, with the most popular merch all around him.

Sippo

Sippo is a store featuring many reasonably priced goods. The store in the summer section features many of these goods, but during the summer season, it has a special sale on gear for festivals and travels.

Tokyo Kitsch

This store sells many kitschy souvenirs, due to this, this store is smaller than the rest. The souvenirs come in a wide variety, from lucky cats, to small hand towels. Feel free to shop for something unique!
