WCS is building an additional 11000 square feet plus renovating the current building to include a dedicated primary wing, flex space, maker space, and updating the staff room.
A designated makerspace will:
Allow students space for planning, designing and collaborating on projects
Eliminate the need for teachers to convert their current calssrooms into temporary makerspaces
allow students to work with a variety of modern educational devices and tools
Including several flexible learning spaces into our plan gives our teachers and students the option to work in groups of multiple sizes, depending on the curricular needs.
A dedicated primary wing will:
have larger spaces allowing for plenty of movement,
Includes an expanded library
space for additional flexible seating to all classes
The addition will accomodate a projected student population of 350 to 380 students.
