El senador Esteban Bullrich, referente de Juntos por el Cambio, reapareció el último viernes en un conmovedor video, donde cuenta las diferentes instancias que atravesó luego de enterarse que padece Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica (ELA), una enfermedad que provoca parálisis muscular progresiva.
"Cuando uno se entera de que está enfermo de una enfermedad como la ELA, pasás por etapas. Tuve una etapa de angustia, mucha", confesó el senador de la oposición en una entrevista televisiva con CNN en Español, la cual se emitirá completa este sábado, a las 22 horas.
"¿Qué me pierdo? Que no voy a poder entrar a la Iglesia, por ejemplo. Esa es la primera reacción", enumeró Bullrich. Y luego señaló que la siguiente etapa fue la del enojo.

"El enojo me costó más que la angustia, porque no le encontraba la vuelta. Ahora estoy en paz", subrayó el dirigente de Juntos por el Cambio, consultado por los periodistas Ernesto Tenembaum y María O'Donnell.
Luego de la entrevista, Tenembaum publicó en su cuenta de Twitter el adelanto del reportaje y escribió: "Una de las notas más tristes y hermosas de todas las que hice. Conmovedor el ejemplo de @estebanbullrich".
El último 28 de abril, el senador informó que padece ELA y que por esa razón comenzó con trastornos en el habla durante los últimos meses. En un comunicado, el referente de la oposición confirmó el diagnóstico y afirmó que si bien se trata de "una enfermedad compleja" continuará "cumpliendo" sus funciones ya que tiene "un compromiso con los bonaerenses y con los argentinos".

Bajo el título "Sobre mi estado de salud", Bullrich comenzó diciendo en el texto difundido a la prensa: "Es difícil transmitir noticias dolorosas, pero compartirlas es aliviador. Después de varios meses consultando médicos y haciéndome todos los estudios necesarios, finalmente dimos con un diagnóstico definitivo sobre mi condición. Tengo Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica (ELA), una enfermedad que provoca parálisis muscular y que es lo que me afecta el habla".
"La ELA es compleja pero cuidándose y respetando los tratamientos se pueden atenuar los síntomas. Como católico, creo que Dios nunca nos pone pruebas que no podamos superar. Él hace nuevas todas las cosas, confío en Él. No me voy a mover de donde estoy. Esta situación no me impide continuar con mis funciones", sentenció.
