Geometric functional inequalities and their stability
The Emmy Noether research group Geometric functional inequalities and their stability is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). Our group is located at the Institute for Mathematics at Goethe University Frankfurt.
Our group investigates the structural properties of geometric functional inequalities like the Sobolev inequality or the isoperimetric inequality. In particular, we study questions related to the quantitative stability of these inequalities. One of our main aims is to develop an improved understanding of the existence and qualitative properties of optimizers for stability inequalities. We also work on new analytical methods for higher-order and vector-valued problems, motivated by applications in partial differential equations and geometric analysis.
Here is our entry in the DFG database GEPRIS.
