Around the globe, there are particular groups that have migrated from one country to another. In some cases, people would live in another country to either work for themselves, family, or an aspect that others consider as “survival”. People yearn for freedom to work their way up to the pyramid which some countries tend to have within their act such as the United State of America, being one of the most diverse population in the world.
The U.S is recorded to have 23 million Asian Americans where more than 20 countries coming from different parts of Asia have landed in the country where history has been made coming from different ethnicity groups of the nation.
Asian immigrants have arrived in the U.S in the mid-1800s where a wave of immigrants has been in the shores of the country. Since then, there were many key roles that have been implemented through history in the U.S. However, from the year 1875, there were racial injustices that Asians faced, mostly Chinese and Japanese immigrants whom was discriminated from any sort of action that normal people would do.
For instance, Mamie Tape was denied access to education from the San Francisco Board of Education to her race. The Tape family have overall sued them and she became one of the significant people who have helped desegregate schools.
Another example would be how the white coal miners would attack Chinese miners for stealing their jobs where 28 have been killed and 15 were injured. This brought attention to the Congress whom compensate the workers for the loss.
