The Eta Delta Chapter of Sigma Chi was founded on April 19, 1970 in Cookeville, Tennessee. The chapter was originally a Kappa Omega colony from 1966 to 1969. Our brothers then searched for the chapter they could call home and found their way as a newly found chapter of Sigma Chi. As of March 9, 2024, our chapter has initiated 936 men into the bonds of Sigma Chi.
Our chapter stays active on campus in all facets. We stay heavily focused on our academics including our excellent and effective scholarship plan. We held the highest Fraternity GPA on campus during the Spring 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and Spring 2022 semesters. Our brothers are also very involved in campus activities and groups of high standard. Brothers Trey Rogers (Vice President of Finance) and Daniel Dever (Community Relations) have both served on the current Interfraternity Council executive team. Two of our brothers are also members of the TTU football team. We are involved in Intramural Sports and won three intramural championships in the 2022-2023 school year. We are very involved with the sororities on campus too. We participated in Alpha Delta Pi, Delta Gamma, Phi Mu, Kappa Delta, and Omega Phi Alpha's philanthropy events, and we recently won Alpha Delta Pi's philanthropy during the 2022-2023 school year. To finish up, we like to stay very involved with all the students on campus and we actively pursue potential new members to bring into our Brotherhood.
