I had my fifth Zometa infusion today. That went in all ok. Also had my eyes tested. They're not so great. There's something going on with my left eye but my optician is on it! First thing is to have my glucose levels checked. I've also booked to see my eye consultant to find out if there is an issue with my dystrophy. The optician scanned my eyes and I've got a drusen - which is the start of age-related macula degeneration. I'm hoping that there isn't anything too sinister going on there but at least it's all being checked.

On 9th July, my team and I held a Coffee Morning as a fundraiser. We invited the SENCOs from our local mainstream schools to join us along with staff from my school. It was an absolute success! I am so grateful to each and every person who donated and supported us. In all, through the generosity of everyone, the total raised stands at £443 (£413 to Breast Cancer Now and £30 to Knitted Knockers).
I've also had my glucose checked. All is fine in that department so there must be some other reason for my eyes being like they are.

My face appears to be all over social media the past two or three days. I opened up Instagram on Friday and there was a post from Owise - it was a snippet of me speaking with the lovely Carly Moosah.

Also, I met with the Macmillan User Involvement Manager for the Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance. I am now part of this and looking forward to getting involved.
