Firstly, we want to thank Nakano sensei for her guidance in class and on our project. We also want to thank the judges who chose our skit! It was a very fun project, and we are grateful to have had the chance to enter the competition. It improved our Japanese and we hope to continue improving through experiences like this one. Thank you!

The prize is very helpful since saving money as a college student can be quite stressful, as I’m sure a lot of people can relate to. The certificate I received is something I will keep with me forever, as it is a reminder of the work that I have put into learning the Japanese language and that I should recognize my own efforts from time to time. I’m very grateful to the sponsors and hosts for their time and efforts in this contest. It was a great experience and I hope to be a part of more events in the future with both the Japanese community and the people who enjoy Japanese culture here in Tennessee.
このコンテストを参加するきっかけで、日本語の練習にもなりました。親や、先生とアイデアを話したりして、自分と日本のストーリーに関してもっと深く考えることができました。いい経験でした! Participating in this contest also helped me practice my Japanese. I was able to talk about ideas with my parents and my teacher, and I was able to think more deeply about my own story and that of Japan. It was a good experience!
Thank you to all of the sponsors and everyone involved in putting together this year's contest. I am so grateful to have had this opportunity to reflect on my personal connection to Japan and my love of Japanese culture that has developed over the years. It was also so inspiring to see the dedication and hard work of the other contestants in their videos, and I am excited to see the continued growth of Japanese language programs in Tennessee. これからも日本語の勉強を頑張ります。ありがとうございました。
I really enjoyed the topic for this year's contest titled "Japan and I." It was fun to get to share my personal experience I had while I was in Japan. I shared on the beautiful experience I had wearing Kimono in Japan. I am glad my presentation was well liked enough to receive the Special Award. Thank you all very much for picking mine and for my award!
