How to Participate

Eligibility

Students must attend a Japanese course in a college or university in Tennessee to participate in this contest. Students who have won first prize in a prior contest are ineligible for the same-level competition.

Level 1 Skit Contest

Students must attend the 1st year Japanese course (studied about 100 hours, level in textbook Genki 1, Nakama 1, Yokoso 1) in a college or university in TN to participate in the 1st level. 

Level 2 Skit Contest

This level is aimed for students who studied more than 100 hours or who attend the 2nd year Japanese course (suggested level in textbook Genki 2, Nakama 2, Yokoso 2) in a college or university in TN. 

Level 3 Presentation Contest

College Level: 3rd and 4th year. Students who have completed Genki 2 textbook or equivalent (studied about 270 hours or more).
