Throughout my time at TMW, I was part of the Interface Development Team. Technically, there are two teams: Interface and API. But there is so much overlap between the two teams that they act as a unit. My hiring manager is Dean Anzaldi, the Interface Team Manager, while the manager of the API Team is Mark Hosmer. Every morning, the two close teams, as well as Directors, QA, and some other developers, meet for a "Stand-up" to discuss everyone's tasks for the day. For these daily meetings, a t-shirt is passed around to determine who gets to run the meeting and therefore share a funny/inspirational picture with the team. My first week I was horrifyingly given the t-shirt, but ending up thinking of a good meme to share with the group (as seen above). With being the only intern on the team, it was scary starting out, but fortunately, Abel who sits across from me was willing to help with any issues and ended up unofficially being my mentor. So, one of the first things I needed to be confident in was talking in front of my team and being able to communicate my issues well enough for others to understand.
