臨床検査医学は、検査によって得られる情報を疾病の診断、治療方針の決定、予後評価に結びつける医学分野です。当教室は、病院検査部と一体となり、臨床症例と公表された症例報告の収集・比較解析を行い、疾患の特徴や診断過程を検討し、臨床検査に基づく診断推論の発展を目指しています。特に、診断が困難な症例や非典型的な臨床像を示す疾患に着目し、既報症例に共通する臨床検査所見、診断上の落とし穴、鑑別診断の重要な手がかりを明らかにする研究に取り組んでいます。さらに、血液悪性腫瘍の分子病態、治療抵抗性に関する基礎的研究や、臨床検査の品質管理に関する研究を推進し、得られた知見を日常診療に還元することを目指しています。

Laboratory medicine is a field of medicine that integrates laboratory findings into disease diagnosis, treatment decisions, and prognostic assessment. Working in close collaboration with the Department of Clinical Laboratory, TMPU Hospital, our division conducts research in collaboration with hospital laboratory staff. Our research involves the collection and comparative analysis of clinical cases and published case reports to investigate disease characteristics and diagnostic processes, with the aim of advancing laboratory-based diagnostic reasoning. We focus particularly on diagnostically challenging cases and diseases with atypical clinical presentations. Through the comparative analysis of published cases, we seek to identify common laboratory findings, diagnostic pitfalls, and key clues that facilitate differential diagnosis. In addition, we conduct basic research on the molecular pathogenesis and therapeutic resistance of hematologic malignancies, as well as studies on laboratory quality management. Our ultimate goal is to translate these findings into improvements in routine clinical practice.

1. Case-Based Literature Analysis

We collect and comparatively analyze published case reports to identify clinical characteristics, diagnostic patterns, and challenges in disease diagnosis.

2. Laboratory-Based Diagnostic Reasoning

臨床検査に基づく診断推論

臨床検査所見と診断経過に着目し、非典型的症例や診断困難例における鑑別診断の課題と診断上の落とし穴を検討しています。

We examine laboratory findings and diagnostic processes in published cases to explore challenges and pitfalls in differential diagnosis, particularly in atypical or diagnostically challenging cases.

3. Hematologic Malignancies and Molecular Pathogenesis

血液悪性腫瘍と分子病態

急性骨髄性白血病を中心に、分子病態、細胞分化、酸化還元応答、治療抵抗性に関する解析を行っています。

Our research focuses primarily on acute myeloid leukemia, investigating molecular pathogenesis, cellular differentiation, redox responses, and mechanisms of therapeutic resistance.

臨床検査の品質管理

ISO 15189に関連する品質管理、および検査室業務の改善について検討を行っています。

We investigate laboratory quality management in the context of ISO 15189 and improvements in clinical laboratory operations.
