Based out of northeast Wisconsin, Too Much Parmesan is a comedy/alternative rock band that hopes to blow your sock and knock your minds off. On a dark and stormy night in 2021, frontman Finn “Mediocre” Severstad was aroused from the computer by a flash of light outside the window. Creeping out the door, they discovered what appeared to be an escape pod from a far-off starship. Nestled inside the pod was a cream colored wheel of cheese.

Finn showed the wheel to drummer Aidan “Aidan Lishner” Lishner and extraneous band member Carter “100” Epley, the former of whom cut a triangular slice from the wheel and took a bite, declaring: “THIS PARMESAN… IS TOO MUCH!” A flash of lightning struck overhead, and the group was blessed by a spirit of musical prowess and lyrical ingenuity.

But like any successful heist, they’d need backup. The muscle came from bassist Logan “Nuclear Bomb” Green, and the demolitioning/getaway driving came from brass player Kali “Wah Wah” Nelson. And the rest was history.

In 2022, TMP finished their debut EP Blood Orange, featuring Fishbender, one of their most popular songs to date. Blood Orange was followed up in 2024 by their first full album Apocalypse Hippopotamus, and their first holiday album (which any legitimate musical act must have). The band then spent the next 414 days recording a legendary project simply known as THIRTY. Overall, Too Much Parmesan has had an unprecedented impact on the course of American jazz music.
