TMMV is a group of volunteers dedicated to fabric mask making. We have chosen HK Mask design as our mask making standard and we do not endorse / partner any mask manufacturer/ reseller/ distributor to sell any masks.
Moreover, in this tutorial all copyrighted materials the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner. We are making such material available to easy understanding the process of mask making and its effectiveness.

HK Mask is a 100% reusable cloth mask where a replaceable filter could be placed in the middle.

HK mask is a reusable fabric mask invented by Dr. Kenneth Kwong Si-San*(AKA Dr. K. Kwong) during the outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020.

The design of HK Mask is referred by that of 3-layer surgical mask in the market. The HK Mask is composited with a disposable middle layer filter which is sandwiched by a cloth mask as the outer and inner layers. There are a number of material chosen for the middle layer filter ranging from Kitchen Towel Paper to Nanofilter.

The filtration efficiency of a piece of kitchen towel paper is close to that of N70. The mask can be safely used after replacing a new middle layer filter to a cleaning and sterilizing the inner and outer layer cloth.

*Dr. K. Kwong, PHD in chemistry graduated from Hong Kong University. He is called the "The God Father of Chemistry" in Hong Kong, author of popular academic books such as "Longman", "Effective Chemistry" and "Quick Revision Chemistry".
