The Mothball Incident is pleased to have you onboard.
This unofficial Infinity global campaing pivots around an incident in the Human Sphere unveiling a mysterious piece of Voodootech, tearing apart fragile alliances. You can read more about the narrative in following pages: Home page, Missions and Factions POV.
The setting covers the whole Human Sphere: we have tried our best to have each known planet and setting represented somehow.
You can play any mission from the current ITS, including Resilience Operations, plus a special mission we've developed, unsurprisingly called Mothball.
The campaign will run in a single phase.
Please note that Non-Aligned Armies can score points for any other faction, but not for themselves.
Last but not least, make sure to check out the commemorative mini of the event.
Once you have played your game, wheter live or on TTS, just follow this link to reach the page where you can submit your battle results.
For each game you have to submit only 1 form, no more.
If, due to miscommunication with your opponent, you incidentally report the same game twice, just let us know on the Troubleshooting channel of our Discord and we'll solve it.
Every game provides Campaign Points (CP) to the winner equal to the size of the game divided by 100
Draws and mirror matches don't provide CP
Each CP is equal to 1 Total Point (TP)
Objective Points (OP) provide TP equal to the number of OP scored, divided by 10
Missions are controlled by factions with the highest TP in that mission
The winner of the campaign will be the faction controlling the longest set of adjacent missions in the board (diagonally, horizontally and vertically)
In case of a draw in lenght, the following order of priority will be applied: diagonal > horizontal > vertical
In case the draw is not solved, the faction with the most CP will be victorious
Check out the scoring page for mission-by-mission details.
Of course you can!
Well, we'd rather see everyone role play and organize strategies playing with a single faction, but in the end we just want you to have fun and we really don't have the means to enforce single-faction-playing.
However, to induce you to play the same faction as the same commander, we have prepared thematic pitches for each mission to narratively link your games.
