Timothy M Harrell

Engineer ∙ Scientist ∙ Nerd

Welcome!

I am a current PhD candidate at the University of Southampton studying lightning damage on CFRP materials. I am an engineer by trade but still curious and eager to understand the world around me. My research interest include but are not limited to solving mechanics problems through analytical method or finite element model, experimental methods including full field measurement techniques such as digital image correlation and grid method, non-destructive testing such as computed tomography and infrared thermography, and advanced computational methods such as Gröbner basis.

Currently, I am finishing my PhD under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship and excited to take my next post at the University of Virginia as a post-doctoral researcher.

Here you can find more information about my background, some of my previous work and my publications.
