Flower Power

I had the priviledge of working with Ms. Della Barbado in tandem with her Texas Prairies project. Ms. Barbado is a cornocopia of information on native plants in Texas. She met with me on a few occasions to educate me on building a school garden and even taught me the history of Texas Prairies. Unfortunately due to the COVID 19 shutdown I was not able to complete our garden project last year. However, I was able to incorporate some of the lessons that I learned form Ms. Della with my STEM Club last spring.

Ms. Della and the Houston Native Prairies Association of Texas (HNPAT) have continued having zoom meetings each month to further the education of the public. I've been able to participate in two of these meeting s and they are very infomrative.
