Mo2TiC2 (Mo-MXene) has metallic bonds (such as Mo-Mo, Mo-Ti, Ti-Ti) and a unique layered structure, which gives it outstanding electronic transport capabilities, thus demonstrating great potential in electronic components and energy storage.
Furthermore, Mo-MXene, due to its graphene-like 2D layered structure, possesses a larger specific surface area, allowing for more catalytic active sites and improving HER reaction efficiency. It has better acid and base corrosion resistance, showing high stability in HER reactions; moreover, Mo atoms have suitable hydrogen adsorption free energy, which further enhances HER reaction activity.
For these reasons, we choose Mo-MXene as one of the substrates for conducting HER reaction materials.
Hence, I began searching for different synthesis methods to determine which one could produce the most refined and beautiful Mo2TiC2. After finding out the most successful way to synthesis Mo2TiC2, we would start electrochemical performance testing and research on the development of advanced batteries.
