Iris Yeh
Iris Yeh
Hi delegates! I am Iris Yeh, a junior at Hong Wen International School. It is my honor to serve as your Head chair for this year’s KSMUN crisis committee.
I started MUN back in 2022, and I have been a big fan of ECOSOC. At 6 out of 11 conferences I attended, I was either a delegate or a chair of ECOSOC. And to be honest, I am not a big fan of stepping out of my comfort zone. But this year, I decided to make that big step—to give crisis a try. This is my first time ever chairing a crisis committee, and my actual first time in crisis. Hopefully, I don’t turn into a crisis myself. Don’t worry, though, I have faith in Joshua. Aside from that, I would also like to express my genuine vision for the upcoming conference: it will be inspiring, stimulating, and fun.
Outside of MUN, I also enjoy ultimate frisbee, hiking, and exploring the bartending canon. So if I’m not studying pathetically, I will be out in the fields. Feel free to reach out to me at Gmail: yunyunirisyeh@gmail.com or insta: iris_03.19!
Joshua Tuschida
Joshua Tsuchida
Joshua is a junior at Taipei Dominican International School with over six years of MUN experience. While KSMUN VI marks his first time chairing, he brings a solid background in a wide variety of specialized committees—including ICJ, Ad Hoc, and Crisis—which he hopes will compensate for his lack of direct chairing experience. Known for his infuriating schemes, he especially loves the intensity and unpredictability that only crisis committees can offer.
Outside of MUN, Joshua serves not only as an unofficial mentor to younger MUNers, but also as the VP of his school’s public forum debate club. In the athletic sphere, he holds a seat at his school’s Athletic Committee, captains three varsity teams—badminton, table tennis, and distance running— and coaches badminton on the side for fun. Though he occasionally regrets quitting piano, he still can be found banging away on the school piano during assemblies and masses. Joshua’s proudest achievement to date—and the one he’ll bring up in every conversation—is winning the Asia-Pacific title at the 2024 MIT Global Science & Engineering Competition.
Joshua is excited to gain a new perspective on MUN through his role as deputy chair in his favorite specialized committee. Drawing from his extensive experience as a delegate, he hopes to help lead a crisis committee that is not only engaging, but also beginner-friendly—even for first-timers. Delegates are always welcome to reach out, whether with questions, casual conversation, or just to say hi. He can be contacted at 2300119@dishs.tp.edu.tw or on Instagram (@josht0123456789).
Ilay Yaron
Hello! My name is Ilay Yaron, and I’m a Year 11 -Junior- student at Taipei European School. I was born in Israel but have lived in several countries due to my mom’s job as a diplomat. For four years, we lived in Geneva, where she served as Israel’s representative to the United Nations. Being close to international diplomacy sparked my early interest in politics and global affairs. I later discovered MUN, which quickly became my primary passion. I hope to share that excitement with others and help make the experience enjoyable and meaningful for all delegates.
Sean Woodruff
I’m Sean Woodruff, currently a Junior at American School in Taichung, and this is my 5th year in Model United Nations as well as my 20th conference. It is my pride, privilege, nay, my honor to serve as your Crisis Director alongside Ilay Yaron.
I started out as nervous as one could be however I quickly figured out that to venture out of my comfort zone and succeed is one of the most rewarding experiences one can have. At that point, I was officially hooked. I went from a speech typing keyboard warrior to an all improvisation delegate after being inspired by a fellow delegate when I was at my 4th conference, STMUN 2021. My biggest piece of advice to all delegates is that improvising speeches will open you up to many many more opportunities not only to speak but to develop as a speaker.
Now enough on my experience in mun and what not. More on what I enjoy. In my free time I enjoy working out, fencing, playing football, and listening to music. My favorite genres of music are Indie, Numetal, and Rock. I also indulge in energy drinks a lot to keep myself awake so if someone were to ask for one and I have an extra it’s very likely that I’d share. Hope to see you all at the conference.
Sincerely,
Sean Woodruff
