The two of us stared at each other for a moment.
Ronin: I’ve come for Yua. So, let me take her and I will leave.
Hina: Funny, I’ve called you here for a fight.
Ronin: I’m not going to fight any of you.
Hina: Shame.
They reached behind their back and revealed a small scimitar and put it right above Yua’s head.
Hina: No fight. No Yua.
Ronin: Don’t even try it.
Hina: What are you going to do, sister? Fight me with no weapon?
I silently cursed and relaxed. A fight they want? A fight they will get.
Ronin: Fine. I will fight, what are your terms?
Hina: If you win, Yua and you will be allowed to leave this attic with each other. If I win, Yua is allowed to leave, but you will die.
Ronin: Is that it?
Hina: Are those ultimatums not sufficient?
Ronin: They are, but I expected something like torture or me swearing my alliance back to the family.
Hina: I would never do that to you.
Ronin: How merciful.
Hina chuckled before moving her scimitar away from Yua’s head and made their way towards me.
Hina: What weapon will you choose?
Ronin: I would like a knife.
Hina: A knife? Unbelievable.
Ronin: Will you be providing it, or will I have to go into the basement and talk to another group of siblings?
Hina: Kanna, give our guest a knife.
Kanna stepped forward with a knife in her hand and threw it at me. I quickly reacted and caught her flying weapon.
Hina motioned for her siblings to stand against the wall, and they all complied. I examined the knife in my hand and smirked. It felt natural to hold it.
Hina: May your blade be swift, and may luck be in your favor.
Ronin: Mata, meiyo to udemae imasu.
We stared at each other, and a smirk danced across Hina’s face.
Hina: Your move.

I feel the impact of me hitting the floor mat more than the actual kick to my face Sango just delivered.
Sango: Stop blocking with your face, Azami.
Ronin: I’m not blocking with my face.
Sango: That attempt said differently.
I pick myself off the ground, and stand ready for my older sister’s next advance.
Sango looked at my form and scoffed before rushing forward and throwing multiple punches. I blocked all of them with quick, precise movements, but I had to admit that Sango struck like an animal.
I try to block another one of her punches, but she raises her leg and I feel her knee connect with my stomach and double over. I feel a quick strike to the back of my neck and her doing a quick spin before kicking me back to the ground.
Sango: Be more flexible.
Ronin: Can you please not do any of those fancy dance moves of yours?
Sango: Dance and fighting go together better than you think.
Sango extends a hand to me, and I knock it aside. I don’t need her help to lift myself off the ground.
Sango: You’re going to need my help one day. Whether you like it or not.
I laugh at such a prospect. When would I ever need her help? Or use her advice?
