SOCIAL ACTION DAY

SOCIAL ACTION DAY
NOVEMBER 23RD
HERE'S HOW SOCIAL ACTION DAY WORKS
On November 23rd, we’ll meet at TKA for breakfast, donated by Sprouts and Jewish Free Loan, followed by remarks from our leadership and a guest speaker. We’ll then form a line in the courtyard to pass down the frozen turkeys everyone donated and load them into vehicles to be taken to the Paradise Valley Food Bank. Afterward, we’ll split into groups for various social action projects such as making Chanukah cards for soldiers, wrapping presents, preparing gift bags, making blankets for a pitbull shelter, and more. You must pre-sign up for your preferred projects below.

Decorate Chanukah Cards and write letters to Israeli Soldiers.
Volunteers will be wrapping donations and making holiday greeting cards for our "adopted" family. If you would also like to help buy the gifts for our adopted family, you can use this link, which will take you to our Walmart wishlist that has specific items the family is in need of: Walmart Wish List
We want to support young artists who don't have access to art supplies in low-income homes. We will be decorating bags and putting together art kits for artists at Aguilar Elementary to take home with them.
Donations from Yom Kippur will be used to buy food at Fry's for the PV Community Food Bank. We need volunteers to help shop, load groceries, and deliver and stock them at the food bank. We will also be delivering our frozen turkeys from our Turkey Train as well
Mayday rescues and rehabilitates dogs with nowhere else to turn. Help us make tie blankets to keep our furry friends safe and warm.
Put together items in the birthday bags (cake mix, tin, streamers, balloons, frosting, and a handmade card) to create Birthday in a Bag for AZ Helping Hands.
Bring a FROZEN turkey on the 23RD and then join us as we pass turkeys down the line and into trucks to be delivered to the Paradise Valley Community Food Bank
Bring your mittens--frozen turkeys are cold!
Can't join us on the 19th but still want to donate a Turkey?
Drop off your donation at TKA the week of Nov 16TH
IF you are unable to find a frozen turkey for donation, the food bank will also accept frozen chickens and frozen turkey breasts.
