Dad's at the front again (with my sister front left) at the KB annual dance
Bob Miller and the Millermen made a welcome return to Hastings on Friday last week, when they entertained over a thousand people at a Kolster-Brande Ltd. annual dance at the White Rock Pavilion.
The band was ably supported by the always-popular Ted Crouch and his band, and ,a pop group, Spyke. The group's bass guitarist, Ginger Millington, is the son of Mr R. Millington, the chairman of the dance committee, who, with the Social and Athletics Club of K.B., organised the evening.
A highlight of the evening was the competition in which Mrs P. Lindsay, of High Street, Hastings, won a colour television (manufactured in Hastings).
Other prizewinners were Mrs A. Paffett, of St. James Road, Hastings, who won a radiogram; Mrs J. Barry, Winchelsea Road, Hastings, a black and white television set; Mr J. Mitchell, of Priory Avenue, Hastings, a portable record player; K. Ellis, of Mirror Patt, London, S.W.8, a transistor radio; Mr R. H. Walker, The Green, St. Leonards, a £5 gift voucher.
A K.B. refrigerator was won by Mrs P. Brugnoli, of Spring Street, St. Leonards.
