Hob-nobbing

Here is s letter from Hughie Green to my Grandad - it says

Dear Mr. White,

Thank you for your postcard with its amusing drawing.

Actually I never found out what the sewerman found down there, but I can tell you what he whispered in my ear: "You still haven't persuaded enough people to use White Tide": After this introduction I was a. little apprehensive as to what he might add, so cut him short.

He was a delightful character and thoroughly enjoyed being in the programme.
