One of my dad's many Kid's Jumble Sales,
The Maidstone & District Bus Garage behind the wall, was used by the Military in World War Two.
It was here that many army vehicles were waterproofed, ready for the D-Day landings in Normandy.

This farm was leased to my dad's friend, Margaret's grandfather, Mr Reid Partridge and son Ronald who taught
Percy served in the St. John Ambulance Brigade from 1929 through to 1940 when he was enlisted for War Service in the Royal Sussex Regiment. He was later transferred The Pioneer Corps near Arundel where he used his Gardening skills to produce Fruit and Vegetables for the Regimental Cookhouses until the end of the War.
