The "Lovely, Dark, and Deep" Series

Lovely, Dark, and Deep

Mankind has fallen. It is now the time of Druids, of which there are six different types- four Elemental (Fire, Earth, Water, Air), Light, and Dark. The Dark Druids have reigned over the Kingdom of Arastya since its inception, and with each rise of a new ruler, comes the competition for their hand by the other Druid Realms. The rise of High King Salem comes at an unprecedented time, as the Earth Druids are believed to be extinct, including the nomadic Forest Druids, who reside in a deadly forest at the base of the Arastyan mountains.

Quinn, perhaps the last remaining Forest Druid, hasn’t seen another Druid since her father was taken from her as a child. When two Druid males saunter into her forest, one of them claiming to be the new High King, Quinn can’t resist holding an arrow to his head. They explain that, as the only Forest Druid they had come across in the days they’ve searched the forest, she must accompany them to the capital of Kalys to compete for High King Salem’s hand. Quinn is taken back to the castle against her will, the safety of her forest at stake. During the competition, she soon discovers that the monsters beneath her skin are far different than what she once believed, and that the beasts within the castle walls are far more dangerous than the ones back in her forest. With rising tensions between the realms, assassinations within the castle, and a treasonous prophecy being spread around the villages- it becomes quickly apparent that a competition should be the last thing on anyone's mind, let alone the High King.

Cruel, Wild, and Wicked

Unrest continues to grow throughout Arastya, as well as talk of a forbidden prophecy foretelling the fall of Kalystan reign. Quinn, now acting as an advisor to High King Salem in his negotiations with the other Realms, finds herself forced in the middle. She is now involved in a war waged in a world that, until recently, she didn't want to be a part of. With the kingdom on the edge of war, Quinn is forced to play not only warrior, but peacemaker as well.

In addition to the civil unrest rife throughout the kingdom, Quinn and High King Salem still have no idea what she is, why the memory potion didn't work on her during the competition. He believes her to be a demi-Druid, as the Western Territories borders the mortal lands, but that would mean that Quinn has less than half a century left to live. The High King refuses to accept that as a possibility, and Quinn isn't sure why.

The adventure, the magic, the slow burn romance, and the mystery continues in the sequel to Lovely, Dark, and Deep. Perfect for fans of Sarah J Maas's "Throne of Glass" and Kiera Cass's "The Selection".

Pride, Avarice, and Envy

~Placed 130 years prior to the events of 'Lovely, Dark and Deep', this novel follows the tale of Lady Ingrid Ashen, a warrior and a lady borne of the fires of Mt. Ifreann~

Lady Ingrid Ashen of the Wastelands can't wait to succeed her father's role and help her realm develop into a powerful ally to the crown. While the current High King's sanity is questionable, Ingrid's loyalty to the Kingdom of Arastya is unwavering.

That is, until her father invites a clan of vagrants, claiming to be the last of the royal Forest Druid line, to stay with them in Aros. It's particularly annoying, given that the High King deemed all Forest Druids enemies to the crown after they refused to pay taxes and began to die of a Plague. What's more, the Lady of the Forest Realm seems to know exactly how to get underneath Ingrid's skin.

'Pride, Avarice, and Envy' is the story of a Lady (who is far more than a Lady) and her conquest to prove herself as her father's heir whilst navigating the intricacies of politics and forbidden love.
