AP Calculus BC

What: Optional Summer Review for all students enrolled in AP Calculus BC.

Research Statistics 1 Fall 2019

Our curriculum builds on your knowledge of the probability and statistics objectives from prior math courses, so it is important that you are very knowledgeable of all of these objectives. We assume that you have mastered the probability and statistics objectives from Math 7 Honors, Math 8 and Algebra 1. The objectives are listed below. There is a detailed listing of the objectives in another document.

We have posted a packet of review material on the TJ Blackboard site for you to use in preparation for the Research Statistics 1 course that you are enrolled in for the fall semester. (The instructions for enrollment in the site are below). The answers are also posted. Completing this packet is optional. We will not collect the packet, but we highly encourage students to review the material so that you are prepared for Research Statistics 1. There will not be a test over this packet, but we will assume that you know the material as you move through the course.

The calculator instructions that you will find in the packet are based on the TI84. We will often be transferring data in class and it will be easiest if you have the TI84. If you choose to use a different calculator, it is your responsibility to learn the commands to transfer data. In addition, you frequently need to download lists, applets and programs to use in class. The first chapter to the TI84 manual is at the website posted below. Be sure that you download the TI Connect software and that you know how to use this software before class begins.

The instructions to download the software are in the manual.

We look forward to seeing you in the fall.
