With the planning aspect of the project, we are fully into the designing and building aspect of this project. Below is a lost of our preliminary parts on the way!
As of now, most of our parts have arrived and we are busy at work configuring them and piecing them together. While assembling some components, we realized that we might need a few more parts like a WiFi dongle to amplify signals for the Raspberry Pi. Below is a list of the new parts we are seeking.
Below are pictures of some of the parts we received.
Most of our parts had arrived in November, but some such as the tether arrived this month. Additionally, as we have been building and coding GRIP, we have realized that we need some more parts, which are listed below.
With these parts having been accounted for, our total cost for the project is $550.75, which is still $49.25 under our budget. Below is a picture of the tether that we received.
With all of our parts in by this point of the project, the only components we will need are smaller items that we may need as we are building the ROV. Below is list of the items that we have purchased last month.
Because we already have all the parts needed for assembling the robot, all we need to order are the waterproofing supplies to make the robot water resistant. We also needed an extra motor because we damaged one of our original ones due to accidentally waterproofing a wrong area of the motor. Below is a list of items that we purchased within the last month.
