Learning in Dublin

I have always loved travelling and I have always loved learning foreign languages. When I travel I like looking at people, the parks, the houses where they live and I love reading books. Because of this I chose to study Foreign Languages and Literature at University.I have visited many parks and museums, but I must admit that reading some books in English or in German has helped me become open and more curious. In Dublin we can find many doors and houses which have become landmarks for tourists. They are Joyce's homes and they continue telling us more about the man who left Ireland and Dublin but never forgot it.

The city of Dublin is an open book: I have learnt about many writers by reading their works- they all shared their origin in this city. Some writers left Ireland while others described Dublin and its past life. Anytime I walk in this city the name of the streets and the squares remind me of what happened here and studying some works by Joyce or Beckett can be challenging.

I chose the city of Dublin

Dublin has become an important city for the mobility of teachers in Europe.

More and more people come here to learn the language. In my case I chose to come back here as I had already appreciated the beauty of the city and its cultural events.I must admit that I have always felt welcomed in this island.

Since literature is my passion I wanted to combine this interest with the use of webtools and modern technology in teaching. I chose a course at Alpha College and you will find details about this experience in my Learning Diary and also in the website.

There are important cultural events here, it is a place where you can walk and see the beauty of the natural landscape. There are also good exhitions and if you are lucky you can see good performances in English at the theatre.
