I completed my Ph.D. from ICT Mumbai in Dec 2020, under Prof. Ashwin W. Patwardhan and Prof. J. B. Joshi. During my Ph.D., I worked on the Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS) of flow patterns in solid-fluid systems. My Ph.D. research helped me get an Exchange Research Scholar position under Prof. Krishnaswamy Nandakumar at the Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, from June 2019 to December 2019.
I recently joined a post-doctoral position under Dr. Bo Kong at the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT), Shantou, China. My post-doctoral research aims at understanding the intricacies in the interacting phases in multiphase flows using computational and experimental techniques. The understanding developed is then utilized to enhance Chemical Engineering systems' performance and create rational approaches for their design, scale-up, and optimization. I specialize in high fidelity numerical simulations (DNS, CFD-DEM, VoF, micro-scale Euler-Euler models) of single and multiphase flows using commercial and open-source software. Besides, I have also worked on combustion modeling for design and fire safety perspectives during my Masters and Ph.D.
