No. The only cost to the town was the gifting of the land for the use of the dog park. Building and maintenance of the park will be done through fundraising and volunteers.
Since we are a town committee, using an online service for contributions is difficult. Sorry about that!
You can write a check to Town of Tiverton and write "Dog Park" in the memo line. Submit the check and this contribution form to Town Hall at the attn of the Town Treasurer.
The short answer: Yes. The long answer: Contributions to municipalities are generally tax deductible under 26 USC 170 (c)(1) if made exclusively for a public purpose. Please double check with your tax professional for your specific situation.
When will the Dog Park open?
The Committee is anticipating a late spring 2022 opening. This is dependent on our ability to procure all labor and materials needed in a timely manner. Like most projects, Covid has put a dent in our ability to accomplish this over Summer 2021, which was our original target date.
Where is the Dog Park located?
The park is located adjacent to the Tiverton Public Library on Roosevelt Ave., behind the Stafford Road Fire Station.
