Cameron Brosnan is an Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts major at GTCC and has been studying photography. When taking photos, he mostly works with a digital camera, but sometimes he uses photographic film. He is interested in many different forms of art.
Eric Campbell is 19 years old and has been writing since he was at least six. He writes primarily
LGBTQ+ romance fiction but dabbles in other genres as well. He has been accepted into UNC Greensboro.
Joseph Chase loves wildlife photography and being outdoors. He has been doing photography for the past 25 years, starting when he was a kid.
Catherine Gaebel is 27 years old and in her last year at GTCC. She has two small children, one boy and one girl, who are 4 and 5 years old. She created this poem because she had to let go of the emotions that she has been feeling for a very long time and words bring power to them. She knows this poem can reach many other people because almost everyone has had someone who was toxic for them. They need to know they are not alone and there is hope for a new beginning.
Jerri Harrell is a non-traditional student at GTCC. After many years of working in the healthcare field and enduring a challenging health issue herself, she decided to return to school. As a “life-long learner,” Jerri is embracing her persistent passion for writing creative fiction, non-fiction, and poetry as a way of healing. She plans to transfer to UNC Greensboro and pursue a degree in Integrated Professional Studies with a concentration in the arts. Her goal is to help others heal through creative self-expression, authenticity, and various spiritual modalities.
Matthew Lomas is a Biology major at GTCC. He prefers prose to poetry but has contributed widely to the Creative Writer’s Club. He has been the recipient of numerous academic achievement awards and scholarships. He’s been recognized on multiple occasions for his service and leadership on campus and within the Piedmont Triad’s veteran community. He plans to transfer to UNC Greensboro in the fall to finish his B.S. and then transfer to N.C. State to pursue a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
Rene Marzuk is currently pursuing an Associate in Arts degree at GTCC. He is in his mid-thirties and grew up in Cuba. He lives in High Point, North Carolina.
Amber Moody is a portrait artist and GTCC student. She been drawing most of her life and works with both graphite pencil and colored pencil.
Janice Walton is a studying photography. As an Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts major, she is very excited for people to see her work. She works in multiple media, but her home-base is digital work.
Taniesha Williams is a non-traditional transfer student who enjoys mathematics, philosophy, meeting people, and learning new skills. She also enjoys creating photos and dabbling in poetry.
Cristal Zeballos is in her last semester completing an Associate of Fine Visual Arts and an Associate of Science. This is her second photography class with Professor Drummond and her first year practicing this medium. While the tools and skills for photography are significantly different from more traditional art, the same compositional and formal elements come into play in any work of fine art. She will be attending UNCG and completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
