Tita Kelasih Diary 03/04/2022

So I got access to the garage of the new place I'm moving to along with the storage shed in the back. What a relief. This'll make things much easier to move.

I had to make several trips because I have a tonneau cover on my truck. Anyway. I started unloading the rack of pellets to the storage shed in the back. I had a lot. Maybe about 500 pounds altogether? Didn't want it to take too long do I a sack on each shoulder to cut down the time. First one was easy. Two hands used to put on one shoulder. The other? A little trickier. I had to snatched it from the ground so that gravity will sit off help once it was going, twisting my wrist so it eventually would land on my shoulder with my elbow lifted to sort of help keep it balanced. That's when it hit me. This was like a kettlebell clean!! Never thought of silly workouts would actually be used in a practical situation.

I get to the storage shed and only then noticed it's off the going by about 18 inches. Ugh... No steps man? So with the load on me. I step up and in. Again. It hit me that we do box step-ups with weights at the gym. Another move that I thought was just for toning up a certain part of our body but never had any practicality to it. Well, I was wrong.

Anyway, there is a makeshift loft for storage in the garage. It's about 12' high so it's not the easiest. I have a lot of camping gear so I was able to toss camp chairs, table, etc up there from the ground to barely clear the edge and land softly within reach of the ladder. Then I'd go up with the A frame ladder and organize it in one stack. Didnt want to toss it too hard because the lift is deep and I didnt want it going too far back. Kinda scary with no one holding the ladder and me having to get on the loft. Getting kn isn't hard but coming back down? I guess I saw way too any movies where the guy knocks the ladder down trying to get back on it or falling. Hehe. The ladder is light so any tap kn the side will knock it down. Then I'd be stuck up there. Haha..

So as I load more stuff on lift area, the ladder wasn't tall enough to lift up and slide onto the loft. I sort of had to balance it like a writer's tray above my head and then slide in onto the loft flooring. That's when it hit me again. That's the poop we do at the gym. Lifting stupid and heavy kettlebells in a writer's type fashion. I used to think it was a silly move just to tone up but I was wrong again. It actually had yet another practical purpose for it as I just learned.

I made several trips back and forth. Good thing my new place isn't far at all. Still in the same zip code. My house is still a mess but I'm starting to see a big difference in it becoming clearer since I'm moving stuff out. This is making me feel a lot less stressed out. Seemed overwhelming at first especially since I'm doing this by myself.

But with me having garage access to the new place, selling stuff online, giving away stuff, and dumping/purging even more, I feel much more relaxed.

Today is a so-so day at work. I'm meeting someone to sell my old Note 9 phone for $270. Dont want to be killed so I'm having them meet me at the bank. This way, there is an actual guard and cameras everywhere to get all the angles like a glamor shot. Just in case. I figure this is a safe enough place.

I had a day off from the gym yesterday. Going again today of course. Maybe I'll learn another "house moving" move?
