The Wind Ensemble (high school band) is Tioga's premier performing ensemble. They officially represent the school and perform throughout the year. The Wind Ensemble sets the standard in musicianship, integrity and professionalism. Wind Ensemble students are expected to practice the required amount to maintain growth as a musician and uphold the integrity and standard of this ensemble. As this ensemble represents Tioga HS in many extracurricular activities, it is required by our state’s “No Pass/No Play” law that each student maintain a 70 or higher in all classes (including AP classes!). Members in the Wind Ensemble are highly encouraged to enroll in private lessons when provided; and are required to attend any extra section rehearsals, encouraged to audition for the All-Region Band, perform at Solo & Ensemble Contest and be good leaders in general.
